‘Half-elven’ (Sind.) - A term applied by the Elves to the brethren Elros and Elrond, sons of Eärendil (the Mariner) and the Lady Elwing the White; also, less specifically, to all those of mixed Eldarin [Elvish] and Mannish descent: Eärendil himself; Dior Eluchíl; Dior’s children, Eluré, Elurin and Elwing; and Elrond’s children, Elladan, Elrohir and Arwen Evenstar” (Tyler).
A Peredhil - or Peredhel, if plural - has the blood of both Elves and Númenoreans running through their veins. Dior, mentioned above, is unique: he was the son of Beren, a Númenorean, and Lúthien; Lúthien was the daughter of Elwë, an elf, but also Melian, a Maiar.
