Great post Mike,

Mike states: <i>"A fine balance must be achieved and maintained, a veritable high-wire act in the spiritual realm."</i>

Boy, this is true with everything isn't it?

I'm looking foward to reading the rest of this series. Thank you brother for your heart and your ministry. I've enjoyed this Blog tremendously as it serves to point me in keeping a rightful balance in my own faith.

To love the Lord our God is the most wonderful thing that we can do and as His children we desire not only to Love Him but to love each other too. But there are times, because of sin, that we can hurt each other in the process. That is why it <b>IS</b> so important for the Church to have true shepherds who will preach God's Word and administer the sacraments rightly and take care of their flock as God has called them to do. It is so important in the lives of believers to try to maintain that balance to have loving and penitent hearts towards our brethren.

As deacon in the Reformed Church, I am charged with the ever present awareness that my actions speak louder then words. Even though I run my own Blog and I always try to keep my words encouraging and uplifting, I realize that at the end of the day, they are just words. They only become words that mean anything, when they are followed by action.

Anyone can (and often do) put up a front with smiling faces and kind words for a brief amount of time. Anyone can "seem" to be passionate and have a heart to love thy neighbor and serve our Lord, but as with everything about God, time will tell. Time always seems to bring out the truth doesn't it.

It is often hard and inconvenient to serve our Lord, to love each other, to show agape love without expectin anything in return. To open up to each other, to maintain an actual prayer journal and to pray for each other and so on. But these are duties we are called to do as children of the living God and when we try to live a life of obedience as best as we can, it shows. Sooner or later our actions bear our fruit.

Again nice post Mike, I look foward to more. :) may His peace and grace be with you.

Y.B.I.C,

Dave.
